Deleting Viruses On Flash Drives Without Antivirus

A quick way to delete viruses on flash drives is to mount your flash drives on a running linux box. Look out for all funny file names or suspicious names, extentions and delete them. Those files are the viruses which gets executed when you mount your flash drive on a windows box.

Couple of malicious files are:

  • folder.exe
  • autorun.inf

If you know any other way to delete viruses kindly add it as comment to this post.
